Zoe & Andy – July

All things summer: bunting, hessian and garden games.  Zoe & Andy made the most of the beautiful weather by utilising all garden space available to them, with bunting in the rose gardens to decorate their drinks reception area, garden games on the lawns to keep the kids (and adults!) entertained, and hanging lanterns on the terrace for their evening reception.

Sarah & David – May

Taking Exclusive Use of the hotel, Sarah & David made Deans Place their home for the weekend.  Sarah stayed the night prior to the big day with her Bridesmaids whilst David stayed at a nearby Bed & Breakfast with his Groomsmen.  After a relaxed morning of Champagne & Strawberries whilst getting ready Sarah made her way to St Andrew’s Church in Alfriston.  Upon arriving back at Deans Place, the Champagne continued to flow whilst guests enjoyed the gorgeous weather and played croquet on the lawns.

Natalie & Helen – June

Sunflowers, sunshine and smiles.  Natalie and Helen’s beaming smiles could be seen every minute of the day. The Brides got ready separately, and with clever coordination by the events team, they didn’t lay eyes on each other until they met at the top of the aisle.  They had a relaxed vision for their big day, which involved chilling by the pool followed by a BBQ wedding breakfast.

Angela & Mark – March

A chilly day didn’t stop Angela & Mark enjoying time together in the gardens.  The daffodils were out and the stunning South Downs provided a beautiful backdrop for their photos. Angela’s “something blue” were her Bridesmaids shoes.

Anna & Haider – October

A truly international and multi-cultural celebration: Anna is from Holland and Haider is Indian, born in Zimbabwe.  Their family and friends travelled from all over Europe and further afield to help them celebrate their special day.  Anna showed off her beautiful baby bump in a lace dress, before changing in to a colourful Sari for their evening celebrations, just before the guests had a surprise Bollywood dance performance.

Becky & Joe – July

Morning storms quickly cleared to make for the perfect summers day for Becky & Joe, marrying outside in the gazebo gardens.  The choice of lace chair sashes, orange flowers and a “naked” cake all complimented each other and bought their theme together.

Casey & Jason – November

Winter wonderland!  Casey & Jason thought of everything for their winter themed wedding, from snow and pine cones for the centre pieces, a snow flake decorated cake to marshmallows for guests to toast on the terrace.  The crisp gardens made the perfect backdrop for their photos. Family members that couldn’t make the day recorded videos for the happy couple, which were shared during their speeches via the built in projector and screen in the Alfriston Suite.

Gemma & Steven – May

Living in Dorset but originally from Eastbourne, Gemma & Steven chose to return to East Sussex for their special day.  Gemma started the celebrations by staying the night prior with her Mum and Bridesmaids.  After all the preparation of hair & make up she made her way to the beautiful St Peter’s Church in Bexhill Old Town.  Upon arriving back at Deans Place, all guests were greeted with Pimms and Prosecco on the lawns.

Samantha & David – December

Sam’s love of Christmas determined the time of year she wanted to get married.  Their winter wonderland wedding was filled with so many personal touches, including photo bunting of the couple through the years and a hand-made cake topper of the Bride & Groom riding a reindeer!  The glittery décor in the Alfriston Suite was perfect for the festive period and their choice of location for the top table meant our Christmas tree was in full view.  Draping and backdrop by Bows Hire (Deans Place recommended supplier).

Hannah & Tim – May

An unusually chilly May didn’t effect the mood for Hannah & Tim’s pretty pink and mint green wedding. The gorgeous flowers from Lady Bird Flowers (Deans Place recommended supplier) and colourful cake from Bella’s Secrets matched perfectly with their theme. Hannah’s beaming smile could be seen all day, starting from getting ready with family in her Executive Suite, right through to the last dance of the evening.  The Father of the Bride was surprised with family photos of his “little girl” through the years, shown during their dance via the built in projector and screen in the Alfriston Suite.

Kerry & Richard – August

Pretty lace, colourful Bridesmaids and a BBQ Wedding Breakfast – the ultimate summer wedding.  Kerry & Richard added so many personal touches to their day, including a DIY aisle runner hand-made by Kerry as a surprise for her new husband; each step of the way along the runner included date milestones from their many years together.

Lizzie & Matt – December

A crisp winters day.  Lizzie & Matt married at St Andrew’s Church, just a stones throw from Deans Place Hotel.  Lizzie walked to the church with her Father and Bridesmaids in tow, taking in the much needed fresh air before saying “I do”.   A pretty taupe theme worked perfectly for this time of the year and those extra finishing touches made everything come together, such as the same scented candles in the drinks reception room through to the wedding breakfast room.
