From small and intimate affairs to big parties with all your family & friends, we can ensure your private event is made very special.  Whether you are looking at arranging a birthday party, anniversary celebration or a clubs annual luncheon or ball; our rural location provides a wonderful backdrop for any occasion. Choose one of our three function rooms, seating 10 – 200 guests, for a sit down dinner, buffet lunch or perhaps an afternoon tea.

Our Function Rooms

The Alfriston Suite -The views from the Alfriston Suite are magnificent, showcasing the South Downs and surrounding landscape. The Alfriston Suite is adjacent to the pool and patio area; an ideal location for a summer function where you can also enjoy the outside space. With it’s own bar inside of the room and nearby facilities this room makes for a perfect space for any function. The suite will accommodate 120 guests for a sit-down meal, or up to 100 for a dinner dance. For an informal party/celebration/event this room can hold up to 200 guests with informal seating.

The Garden Suite -The Garden Suite offers panoramic views of the gardens and South Downs and is a beautiful location for a function any time of year. With direct access to the outside Terrace, drinks can also be enjoyed outside during the warmer months before or after your function. This suite can accommodate up to 50 guests for a sit-down meal or 40 guests for an informal gathering with a buffet.

The Terrace Lounge -With views over the croquet lawn and garden terrace, the Terrace Lounge is an ideal space for a more intimate, informal occasion. The lounge will accommodate up to 30 guests with mixed seating of sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. Ideal for a Finger Buffet or Afternoon Tea, with direct access to our beautiful outdoor sunny terrace too! Or combine this room with The Garden Suite for a larger event. The Terrace Lounge features classic decorative features, sturdy solid Country furniture and a beautifully ornate working fireplace.
