With March already upon us, we’re busy planning a host of events for springtime and beyond. Here’s a run-down of the highlights you can enjoy at Deans Place Hotel . . .

Marvellous Mothers

Mother’s Day is always a special weekend, as we welcome regular guests and first-time visitors for a sumptuous lunch or afternoon tea. Mums will enjoy the pampering they deserve with delicious food from our award-winning restaurant, served up in our luxurious dining room or contemporary terrace.

As our gardens burst into leaf and spring bulbs start to bloom, it seemed the ideal time to host another of our popular flower-arranging workshops. On Friday 9th March floral designer Nina Tucknott will share her creativity and expertise, working with roses, spring flowers and seasonal foliage. She’ll be running two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, especially to celebrate the Mother’s Day weekend. Come along with your mum and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, which is included in the price of the workshop. For more details and to book, call us on 01323 870248.

If for any reason you can’t treat your mum over the course of the Mother’s Day weekend, don’t forget you can give her vouchers for lunch or afternoon tea with us. We promise to make your mum feel special, whatever the time of the year!

Get set for Easter

Easter arrives early this year, with Good Friday on 30th March and Easter Sunday on 1st April. The talented Nina Tucknott is joining us again, this time with an Easter-themed floral workshop that will be brimming with ideas to create a floral ‘nest’ to take pride of place on your Easter table.

There are two workshop sessions on Thursday 29th March (11am to 2pm or 2.30pm to 5.30pm) and each one is followed by afternoon tea, included in the price. Call 01323 870248 to book.

Over Easter weekend itself, our restaurant is open for bookings. Whether you fancy lunch, afternoon tea, or our popular new brunch menu, we’d be delighted to welcome you. Our chefs have been busy devising a mouth-watering menu for Easter Sunday – click here to view it.

An artistic adventure

The East Sussex countryside has a rich artistic heritage; countless painters have been inspired to capture its beauty, from Turner and Constable to Vanessa Bell and Eric Ravilious. Whatever your experience and interest as an artist, we’d love you to join us for a three-night painting break here at Deans Place Hotel.

Working in watercolour, you’ll learn fresh techniques and make new friends. The price of the break (starting from £80.50 per person, per night) includes dinner, accommodation and breakfast. This late spring break is running from Sunday 3rd June to Wednesday 6th June. For more information, please speak to a member of our reservation team on 01323 870248.
